The Iowa 1885 census only lists one VANCE family. They lived 3 miles northwest of Lohrville.

Harry 2.
Hiram and Herman VANCE families are on the 1884 Platt map in Logan or Union Twp. Hiram Vance is at the same location on the 1901 Platt map 3 mi northwest of Lohrville.
