Hupp, Dr. Lynn D.
Lynn D. Hupp was born on a farm in Leighton Township, Allegan County, Michigan, on March 19, 1918. Son of John and Josephine Hupp. He received his DVM Degree from Michigan State University in 1941. He worked with Armour and Company and Fort Dodge Laboratories in the production of Veterinary Biologics. In 1949 he established the Ray County Animal Hospital in Richmond, Missouri, serving both large and small animals. He was active in the Richmond United Methodist Church, Kiwanis Club, R13 School Board, and Explorer Post Advisor. Dr. Hupp served as President of the Kansas City VMA and was on the Missouri VMA Executive Board. In 1984, he retired and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area. Here he established the Climax Springs Veterinary Service and was a charter member of the Climax Springs Kiwanis Club, serving as its first president. In 1994, he retired and moved to Blue Springs, MO. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy; their children: Karl and wife Penny, Ke!
nton and wife Alma, Keith and wife Lisa, Kirk and wife Tania, Amy and husband Fred; eleven grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Dr. Hupp passed away on November 9, 2004. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Powell Gardens from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16. Memorial contributions may be made to Butterfield Youth Ranch, PO Box 333, Marshall, MO, 65340.
