Dorothy S. Akey


STEVENSVILLE - Dorothy S. Akey, 79, of Lakeview, Ohio, died at the home of her daughter on Thursday, May 20, 2004.

She was born on May 28, 1924, in Urbana, Ohio, the daughter of Dewey and Glenna (Hupp) Stemble.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Randy) Creech of Stevensville; two granddaughters, Brandi (David) Oligee of Lewisburg, Ohio, and Amelia Shoe of Stevensville; two grandsons, Ross Shoe and Benjamin Creech, both of Stevensville; three great-granddaughters, Haley Oligee, Hannah Oligee and Lily Oligee; one brother, Robert (Betty) Stemble of Lewistown, Ohio; and a niece and two nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Van Horn Funeral Home in Lakeview, Ohio, on Monday, May 24, 2004.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at the Oak Dale Cemetery in Urbana.

Memorials are asked to the Legacy Ministries International, 1205 Whitefield Circle, Xenia, OH 45385. Condolences may be expressed at www.vanhornfuneralhome.com.

The Whitesitt Funeral Home of Stevensville is in charge of local arrangements.
