Mrs. Julia A. Prettyman died at the home of her son, Alfred at Butte, Nebraska, March 12, 1905, aged eighty years. Her husband died soon after the civil war. She leaves four children, being; W. H. Prettyman of Coon Rapids, John Prettyman of Indian Territory, Alfred Prettyman of Butte, Nebraska and Mrs. Rhoda Parker of Arcade, Ok. Mrs. Prettyman came to Carroll county with her family in 1866, made this her home for fifteen years and then went to Nebraska, but she still lives in the memory of many of the old settlers.
Her husband's name is Richard Prettyman
