Daniel Jackson Hupp was the son of Mary A. Hupp (1820 - after 1870). Although she had several children, she was not not married and was the daughter of a Philip Hupp, who lived in Halifax Co., VA, and is listed in the 1820 and 1840 censuses. Mary had two brothers and one sister.
I have a list of descendants from this family down in my book "Other Hupps" (down from Mary; at the time of printing, I didn't know about her siblings).
