Wm. H. Hupp, one of the early settlers of Carroll County died at his homeMonday, February 8, 1909, and was buried in the Oak Hill cemetery Wednesday, the funeral to be preached at a later date; the weather androads preventing funeral excercises on the day of burial. Mr. VB Sigler gives us the following particulars: Wm. H. Hupp was a private in Co. K,Iowa Infantry, and made a good record. He was well respected by comradesand neighbors and leaves a wife and six children to mourn. The childrenare: Wm. H. Jr., George, Dora, Frank, and Daniel, and Mrs. Buchannon Conner. All the boys were at his bedside during his last hours, hisdaughter being absent in California.
