My grandfather , Edwin Bailey Hupp, opened a gas well near Hundred or Earnshaw, WV on 17 June 1938 or 1939 and committed suicide. I have contacted the Wetzel County Vital Records office and the Vital Records Department to try and obtain his death certificate but, oddly, there seems one doesn't exist. As a beginning genealogist, does any one have information on the newspapers that existed at that time in Wetzel Co. that could have published an obituary? I would deeply appreciate any help. Thank you very much.
