Searching for the parents of Thomas Nelson Hughes (1842 - 1913). Thomas
was born maybe in Goochland or Henrico County, VA. His brother; Rice
Hughes, was born in 1844. Thomas married Amanda Eller (1850 - 1928) on
Dec. 09, 1869 in Roane County, TN. Amanda was born in Ashe County, NC.

Thomas and Amanda lived at Rockwood, TN during the 1870's. Between 1895
and 1915; they lived at Glen Mary, TN in Scott County. Thomas died in a
coal mining accident at Coal Hill, TN. Amanda died at Rockwood, TN and
is buried in the Blank/Blankenbeckler cemetery south of Rockwood. Below
are their children.

1963 in Sullivan, IN; married Clara M.
Crabb October 08, 1903 in Indiana.

vi. Charles William Hughes Sr., born May 27, 1881 in Rockwood, TN; died
April 08, 1961 in Harriman, TN;
married Edith Maybell Galloway January 31, 1909 in Sunbright, TN.
