Have you seen this entry on the LDS familysearch site?

Mother: Margaret HOWIE

Have you looked at the OPR film for Dunoon to see if there is any entry? The
lack of day/month suggests it is supposition rather than definite. The other
place to look is in the censuses of 1841 and 51.
