Sorry I don't know anything about Richards background, but I am interested in establishing whether he links up with my family. My grandfather was James Hornby, born in Burscough in 1874, his father was Jeremiah, born in Burscough in 1855. Jeremiah's parents were James Hornby and Elizabeth. I have been wondering whether Richard could have been James's father mainly because I can't find any other Hornby's in Burcough of the right age. Do you know anything?
