I came across this by accident today after trying to trace a family story. I am intersted in what you write about the Holt family legend and am beginning to wonder if it was just a story.

I was told that my great great grandfather married a Holt and she was disowned by the family. I have found no information that relates to this and cannot trace back beyond 1870. His name was Geroge Davis.

I would be grateful for further information.
