I doubt if there are any direct descendents of Sir George still alive. He had just the 2 sons and did not remarry after his wife died. He was a shipowner and sherrif of Middlesex as well as being a member of the 1851 Exhibition Committee He was knighted by Q.Victoria after she opened the exhibition. His family originated in Ashover, Derbyshire.
