My gt.gt.grandfather Robert was married to Mary Ann Farrell - she was born in Stockton, Durham c1831.
I have information on their two sons - Henry born 1856 and John 1866. The family seems to have lived most of their lives in Battersea, London. Robert was an engine-driver. In the 1881 census Mary Ann was widowed and living with son John listed as a Signal Boy/Railway - age 14.
I have had no success so far in finding any of them on either the 1861 or 1871 census. I suppose I must try all possible variations of Hodgkinson?
Henry was my gt.grandfather - father to two sons and three daughters.
John, by the 1901 census had five daughters - all but one born in Battersea.
Any information gratefully received.
