The HILLs I am researching are supposed from "Northern Ireland". Thomas John HILL was born in 1840 and I know his father's name was Joseph. In 1866 when he married he was living in 'TURNAGROVE' or 'TULLENSAGROVE'. He married Jane STRAHAN in Keady Parish, Armagh Co. The Strahan homestead was in Carnagh.

In 1867 the couple came to the United States settling in NJ. Early in 1875 Thomas John HILL returned to Ireland, perhaps on a business trip, became ill and died there 13 Feb 1876. His death was registered in 'CASTLEBLAYNEY', County of Monaghan. Joseph HILL was present at his death and I am assuming this was the same Joseph that was his father. Thomas left a widow and 4 children in New Jersey.

Does anyone have any information on the HILLs from this area?
