Looking for Hara information from Olaa, Keaau, Hilo. My husband's father, Masami, was hanaied to Tomokichi Hara and His wife Matsu...according to family "talk story" (although we have a birth registration declaring them his biological parents). We have no information at all regarding Masami's real parents. Tomokichi came from Japan as a contract worker in 1890 and somehow ended up as a Shinto priest at the Hilo Daijingu Temple in Lilioukalani Park in Hilo.

My husband's mother, Hiroko, seems to have two maiden names: Takemori and Nishihara...another mystery.

Mahalo if you have any leads I can follow.
