I need some advice on my Herbert line. My Great-Grandfather Edward Herbert
emigrated in1853 from Ireland-->Liverpool--->New York. Everything I've
checked that might have the county in Ireland turns up empty (census,
marriage, death etc, passenger ship records, naturalization papers). I even
checked his marriage in Liverpool and no dice. I've started to inquire with
the local Ireland heritage centers, but I'm realizing that it might add up
financially. I've so far eliminated Limerick and Dublin by checking with the
center to see if they have an Edward Herbert born to Christopher Herbert and
Catherine Reilly, but nothing with either of them. Does anyone have ANY
ideas of how I can go about finding where they originated in Ireland? This
is a beast this one!

Any advice would be appreciated!
