Seems as if there is finally some activity on the HARP mail list, so I will post, once again, my query. Does anyone have any information on a Joel Harp, born about 1788 in North Carolina, possibly that part that became Tennessee, resided in Green Co., KY in 1820, and later moved to Washington Co., KY in the area that later became Marion Co., KY. Don't know when he died.

He married an Elizabeth (said to be Smith) who was born in South Carolina. His known children were Sarah, b. about 1810 in TN, and Anderson, b. about 1821. Possible daughters were Mary "Polly", b. 13 May 1821, and Martha dob unknown.

Sarah Harp married Tunstall Hunt 11 Dec 18 27 in Washington (now Marion) Co., KY. Sarah (also Sara) and Tunstall are my g-grandparents. The HARPS have been extremely difficult for me.
