Have a DOROTHEA (Doris/Dora) A? _____, who md. a Lutheran, Fritz NIEDERBRACHT in 1866 Randolph
Co. IL (by St. Louis). Both a second marriage. She md. Heinrich/Dietrich KRUMWIEDE abt 1865.
Had a son Ferdinand (b. 1865 Randolph Co. IL) and stayed in the general area.
Dora and Fritz had 15 children. Baptismal records show the maiden name as HAGAR, HARGER,
HERGER, HARIGA.
Death record has HARGE.
First found census for her is 1870 -- second married and born in OH.
Only other before she died, 1900 -- born Jan 1847 in OH. Her parents born in PA PA.
Searched various spellings on 1850 and 1860 census records in OH and PA and IL, not to
find any
possibilities. Next step to enlarge spelling variations and maybe check in IN. Her children
report on censuses she was born in OH and PA, but OH more so. I get the idea that the family
might have just stayed in OH a short time and the IL conversations were centered on PA, so that
is what the children remember. Or maybe not.
Would appreciate any leads or ideas for those areas. Better yet, can anyone connect her to a
family.
