William Hannay died in New Brunswick Canada Weldford Parish buried in the
Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery. His grave states the following: In
Memory of William Hannay, Who Died Jan. 7, 1870 Aged 76 Years Also His
Wife Mary, Who Died Dec. 5, 1869 Aged 78 Years 8 Months. When you do the
math you will see he was born in 1793 or 1794 depending on his birthday
since he died in January.

Dolly Hannay has been in touch with me about another matter and I will
ask her about the James Hannay and Helen Gifford connection. She has
considerable information on the Hannay's having researched it for more
than 20 years.
