My great grandfather Jacob Hamilton, born in Tn. about 1840-1842 was said to be Cherokee. His daughter Rosa married John Robert McDonald my grandfather in Lauderdale County, AL and they lived in Oakland, AL and Chewalla, TN.
I havn't had any luck in tracking down either Jacob or John Robert's parents if any one has any information.
