In the 1910 Census of Beloit, Mitchell County, Kansas, we find Walter W.
Hamilton age 10 in the household of Thomas S. and Minnie R. Hamilton. (In
1920 Walter W. is in the US Military and Naval Forces, in San Diego,
California, age 20.) This would seem to match the vital statistics that were
offered in the query.
Thomas S. is 46 years old, and his occupation is Baggageman on the railroad.
He was born in Pennsylvania, but the birth place of his parents is "United
States." Minnie is age 44. Thomas and Minnie have been married seven years,
so Walter is not her son. She has three children, all living, but they are
not in the household. She and her parents were born in PA, and she is listed
with no occupation.
>From this Thomas Sylvester Hamilton was born in 1864. Hopefully this
information will help further investigation.
