It would help if you posted some dates.
I have, according to my 37 marker FTDNA test, Hamiltons in my Robertson lines. (3 to 1 Hamiltons over Robertsons).
Just how, I haven't been able to find out.
There are so many possible causes for this connection, from a Hamilton widow, with a son, who married a Robertson, to the Laird and the scullery maid. Who knows! I don't care, just want to find out, and solve the puzzle.
