I am curious about this posting. My gr gr grandmother was Manerva Elinor
Hamilton Scott. She was born in 1823 in Giles Co., TN. Then the family
migrated to Jackson Co., Alabama, on to Tishamingo Co. MS, then to Fannin
Co. Texas.

There are Savage's listed in the Fannin Co History book as well. I have
been stuck on Manerva's line for 20+ years. I wonder if these Fannin Co
families are connected to the ones you are talking about.
