Is Scott County, Va., near Russell County, Va.? The 1820 census Russell
County, Va., has Nathan Hamilton, James Hamilton and Schuylor Hamilton.
My line has Richard P Hamilton b 1808 Molls Creek, Va., father Nathan
Hamilton and mother
Nancy Stone. Richard P Hamilton b 1808 and his wife Elizabeth are shown
in 1850 Alabama census Barbour County. I believe his father James
Hamilton died in 1850.
Also the 1815 Russell County Tax Assessments has Nathan Hambleton, one
farm Molls Creek valued at $100. The 1850 census Russell County, Va.,
has a lot of Hamiltons including a Nelson, Nathan amoung others.
Is this possibly the same family......? If so I would like to make
contast to fill in the blanks and share all the info I have. Lee

>I am a descendant of David Hamilton who was a Wyatt Hamilton's brother and father's name was James Hamilton. David is in the 1820 Census for Scott County Va and was married to Sydney. We don't know what happened to David but Sidney moved to Kentucky with her son Nelson Howard Hamilton. Nelson Howard and his cousin Robert came to Perry County Kentucky from Virginia prior to Civil War. Robert is the Son of Schuyler Hamilton another brother to Wyatt. As far as the I know there was James, Nelson, William, Nathan, and Elizabeth Hamilton who married a Doughtery. William came to Pike County Kentucky but the others remained in Virginia. Elizabeth was the only daughter and the oldest with Wyatt being the youngest
