Robert Hamilton m. Catherine Curry/Currie in Scotland, They immigrated to the U. S. in approximately 1842. They may have gone to Pa, before they went to Ohio and settled in Trumbull Cty. They had 12 children. One died at sea. Robert G. m. Ellen Currie in Ohio 1852, Janet m. Wm. Jamieson, Mary m. Thomas Teudhope, Thomas, James m. Betsy Taylor, Gavin moved to NY and m. Catherine Semple, Margaret, Catherine Grace, Alexander either moved to Iowa and m. Sarah J. Lovell or m. her after he got there, Agnes m. John Gochenour in Iowa, James? All of the children were b. in Scotland
