I am an Australian Hamilton searching for my Irish Tyrone roots .
My Great Great Grandfather was ROBERT HAMILTON, born in 1867 in the townland
of Meenakeeran in the Parish of Termonamongan, which is near Killeter in
Tyrone. Robert was one of 8 children of William Hamilton of Meenakeeran.
Other children born at Meenakeeran to WILLIAM HAMILTON ( whose approximent
DOB: 1820 - 1826, place unknown )were:

1/ Jane Hamilton, born 1848.
2/Charles Hamilton, born 1853, who married on 11th December 1884, to Sarah
Jane Young, Age 19 years of Altamullen - Sarah Jane's father's name: Robert
Young. Eventually settled in townland of Altamullen/Termonamongan/Tyrone.
3/Eliza Hamilton born 1859.
4/ Robert Hamilton, born 1861, presumed to have died young.
5/ Catherine, born 1864, who married on 21st August 1890, to James Taylor,
of Meenlogher, at Killeter Presbyteriann Church - James' father's
name:William Taylor.
6/ Martha Hamilton , born 1864-67, who married William Monteith of Dreenan
8th May, 1888, Killeter Presbyterian Church, William's, father's name: John
Monteith
7/Robert born in 1867-68, married Jane Johnston of Edenreagh in 1891 at
Methodist Church of Termonamongan, Jane's father's name Alexander Johnston
and mother, Elizabeth Wilson, who married at Drumleagh Presbyterian Church
in Ardstraw in 1859. **This is My Line of Hamiltons**

8/ Thomas Hamilton , born1869.Eventually settled in Townland of Altamullen
with his older brother Charles.

William Hamilton of Meenakeeran had a younger Brother named
JAMES HAMILTON who also lived in the townland of Meenakeeran, he had 5
children i/ Eliza Jane, 1868 ii/ Mary, 1870 iii/ William John, 1872 iv/
James, 1873 v/ Jane, 1879 - In 1901 Jane was working as a housekeeper for
her cousins Charles and Thomas at Altamullen.
