I didn't mention a Daniel - I did mention a John D. Hamilton who is a likely,
but unproven father of my Manerva Elinor Hamilton, b. 29 Nov 1823 in Giles
Co., TN (according to the family Bible), next door to Lincoln. She moved
with her family to Jackson Co., AL when she was 3, or about 1826 (according
to her obit). In 1841 she married William Samuel Scott and they moved to
Tishomingo Co., MS until moving to TX in 1852. I would love to be able to
connect her to some Hamilton line, I have been trying for about 15 years with
no luck so far.
