Mr. Coats,
Iknow you have a great deal of knowledge about the Hamiltons from what you
have written for sometime. Was there a large number of Hamiltons that
settled in or around Lincoln county , TN ? I notice that you list a John. I
have been looking for a John that married Jane ( posted a surrity bond
which I am not sure of what that means in regaard to marriage but that was
the way it was listed in early "Tennessee Marriages"). Both were born about
1816 and moved to Marion County, AL. There family also came to Texas after
the civil war and settled in the hill country. Any help would be
appreciated.
