Appeared in the Nov. 11, 1905 edition of the Lafayette, CO newspaper:

"Married at Denver.
Mr. Charles Haines of Lafayette and Miss Lizzie Stevens of Erie, were married in Denver last Wednesday. This came as a surprise to most of their friends, but they all wish them a long and prosperous life."

Note: The headstone for Charles and Elizabeth Haines may be viewed at coloradogravestones.org
