I am looking for any information for John Angus Hackett who was born Apr 1868 in English Canada. When he imigrated to the US (Michigan) in 1888, he was married to Elizabeth Gerwood (?) Hackett, and they had divorced sometime prior to 1930. In 1900, they were living in Port Huron MI with 2 children, Raymond and Elenor or Elenora. Supposedly, his Father was from Scotland and his Mother was from English Canada, but I have no information on them. Family stories say that John Angus had at least 3 wives. I believe his profession was a traveling salesman. Besides this, I know no other information. Any assistance anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.
