Sorry for my late reply. I have no connection with the name "Hackett" but I did come across a PCC will written on 30 Sep 1759 by a Cornelius Hackett while he was in the Falmouth Hospital on the Island of Antiqua. He was a crew member (Royal Navy) on the HMS Berwick at the time. My interest was in a Robert Pigott who was the 1st Lieutenant on the HMS Berwick at the time. In the will (can send it to you as an attachment if you wish) he goes onto say he is not in very good health and basically leaves everything to his friend, a David Connolly. The will was proved on 22 Jul 1760 so this Cornelius Hackett must have died tween Sept 1759 and Jul 1760
Regards Murray Miles.
