Hackett Origin: Irish Possibly Established by William de Hacket granted land ther by King John in early 13th Century. The Form Hackett first used in the 16th Century. Came to Ireland a bit early. Hackett warriors came to Ireland swinging abroadax with strongbow about 1066 from Normandy. North Normandy was not apart of France until after the Hacketts had the good sence to leave.

sorry its so long..my guess is they came to the US sometime in late 1800's any other info would be appreciated such as dates and birthdays
