Hello,
I am having trouble finding the parentage of Nancy Hackett. She was born about 1811 in New York. Nancy married Benj. Baker, date unknown. A second marriage took place when Nancy married Hezekiah Catlin, 12 May 1851. Nancy died sometime between 1860-1870 in Huron County, Ohio.
I have that their daughter, my third g-grandmother, Martha Emeline Baker, was born Dover Twp, Huron Co., Ohio, 1834. Martha then married Oliver Ames.
There are clues as to the family of Nancy, but nothing that I can put my finger on exactly. In 1860, Willard Hackett and his family resided next door to Alfred Ames and his family. Willard was 55 y.o. and Alfred was 30 y.o. Willard was an uncle of Alfred possibly?
I would really appreciate any insight someone might offer on the parentage of Nancy Hackett.
