I am Bill Hackett in Santa Barbara, California, 805-898-0502. My
grandfather, William Bostock Hackett, Sr., was one of I believe eight
siblings including a sister, Georgia Hackett McGinnis of Louisville,
Kentucky, whom I met when she was an elderly lady in a her
Victorian-decor home in Louisville in about 1940. I don't have access
to my genealogy file, but my Hacketts came to America from Breedon Lodge
at Breedon-on-the-Hill, near Derby in Leicestershire, in the late 1700s
or early 1800s and apparently rafted down the Ohio River to Wrightsville
and Cincinnati, Ohio, and over the years family members spread down to
Louisville and Paducah, Kentucky and Metropolis, Illinois, and my own
father, William Bostock Hackett, Jr., was born December 10, 1889, in
Ripley, Tennessee. Other families -- Bostocks and Wrights -- were among
the people of Breedon Lodge area in England. Then, from Germany came
Christian F. Walbright (Walbrecht in Germany) whose family's included
Rebecca Walbright (Ironton, Ohio, 1820 Census) who married George
Washington Young, (born in Virginia in 1842 and orphaned at age 3) --
with whom she had Elizabeth Young who married William Bostock Hackett,
Sr., and from that marriage my father was the first of three sons born
in Ripley. If you sense that any of this connects, please reply.
Cordial regards, --William Bostock Hackett, III

All I have is a marriage certificate which says William was born in Louisville Ky. He married my grandma in 1916, in Baker Mt.
