hello Shirley i have a Richard and Mary Hackett in my family
tree who were born in Ireland Richard was born in Lisdowney Kilkenny abt 1849 and they had a daughter Eliza/Elizabeth born abt1874 in Ireland I dont have any other information on Richard and Mary only that they moved abroad . I know this is maybe a long shot but your William Daniel could be one of Richard and Marys children.Richards parents were Pierce/Peter hackett and Mary Nolan/Knowlan.They had another three children that i know of.

William born abt 1841( My great grandfather)He came to England
Pierce/Peter born abt 1843
Daniel born abt 1847
All born in Lisdowney Kilkenny.
