Hello! I am trying to research information on my Great-Great Grandparents... I know that their names were Mary Quilty and William Hackett, one was from County Cork and the other from County Down (we believe)... I am at a loss, I do not know their D.O.B. or any other information except that they had two children, a boy and girl, the boy was Joseph Hackett - I was never told the girls name. Joseph was born on 10/17/1892 in Ireland, and he eventually came to America with his Sister, we were told they lived in Connecticut in the late 1800's or early 1900's. After Joseph joined the U.S. Military he stopped in Michigan on his way home from California where he met his wife Hazel, they had two children: Joseph and Doris. He never made it back to Connecticut I guess.

Can someone recommend how I can find out more information about Mary Quilty and William Hackett... it was never known if they came to America or not, I have a feeling that they did not.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. :-)
