Joyce,
James Hackett Jr., C. Hackett, and Lloyd Hackett are also in the 1840
census. See Erin's web page
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~kshai/1810KYhackett.html

The ages of males and females in each household of the 1840 Franklin Co., KY
census match the ones in the 1850 Census.
These three being so close in area and age must be connected but how we will
ever prove it I don't know. Unless we can find some wills or land records.
Alas I am no longer in good enough health to make the trip to Frankfort KY
to go to the Kentucky Archives and search.
So far neither of us has mentioned a Capt John Hackett. He is not in the
1850 KY census, I have the CD's for that year. So no way to know where he
fits in. His age range again fits with the others. I can't quite figure
out the others in his houshold though, it could be his father or an older
brother according to which end of the ages they are closest to. I am
assuming the female is his wife and think the 5 60-70 more than likely
belongs under slaves. Why would 5 women that age be in the same household?
I will add your info under the proper people and hopefully some day we can
connect them all with some document or run across another Hackett connected
to us who has done research farther back.
Ramona
