Hi Erin,
Thanks for all of your hard work. I think it is amazing that you have
combined being a student, running the Hackett-L and doing a webpage!

Although I have concentrated on Hacketts whose named was anglicized to
Guckian, I have some general Hackett information on my website. Please feel
free to add a link to my site.
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/3613/index.html

There is a short explanation on how the named got changed to Guckian on the
index page. Some Hacketts may not know that if their ancestors were from
Co. Leitrim, their name may have been Guckian/Guckeen at some point.

I have a link to all the Hacketts in the 1850 census from Alabama to
Louisiana. Some day I may get the rest of the states up there. 1850 census
indexes are easy to come by but this lists everyone in the household. It
can be helpful. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/3613/1850census.html

I will try to get it finished and add more Guckian/Hackett information but
I'm not sure when I'll get to it.
