I also have Irish Hacketts (Catholic) ....Edward Hackett (b) abt 1834 in
Ireland was listed in 1860 Newburgh, NY city directory. His first
wife was Rebecca Kelly (b) Ireland...(d) 1874 In Newburgh. His second
wife was Mary ?. (m) abt 1878. We believe they came from Co. Cork
ireland...but, it really could be anywhere in Ireland...we lack
proof. I believe Edward was related (poss. brother), to Bernard
Hackett..also of Newburgh....I just need to find that connection.. I
believe there has to be other relation out their to..
