I, too, have Irish Hacketts. Mine were RC, and settled in upstate NY in
the mid 1800s. I am beginning to believe that the original settlers, my
great grandparents, may have returned to Ireland after 1916. We think
they were from the Dublin area, but nobody is positive. I would dearly
love to find evidence of a family Bible, but I doubt that will ever
happen.
