Hello All,
I am new to this list and would appreciate help on my Great Grandmothers
family. I will share all the information I have. I apologize if this first
post is long but it should give all the info I have on Ida and her children.
If this post is done in the wrong format any help for future posting is
appreciated. I am hoping to find my extended family and any information I
can.

1. Ida2 Hackett (Hackett1) was born May 31, 1864, and died September 21,
1940 in Mo.. She married William Wallace Harrington III1,2, son of William
Harrington and Philomelia Tuttle. He was born March 16, 1858, and died March
09, 19122 Ida's obit also said she had 2 brothers Charles Hackett and Henry
Hackett

Notes from Grand daughter, Phyllis Evylene Mobley, show that Ida Mae Hackett
was born in Iowa in 1864. Info from Ida's daughter, Eva who had a copy of
Ida's obituary said Ida was a native of Illinois. She was 76 years, 3 months
and 21 days old when she passed away.

Obituary: Carl W. Childers, 88, Gower, MO, (formerly of Kansas City, MO)
passed away Wednesday, August 28, 1996, at Heartland Hospital East, St.
Joseph, MO. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, at
Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, MO; burial in Allen Cemetery, Gower. The
family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 p.m. this evening (Thursday), at the
funeral home in Gower.
Mr. Childers was born September 22, 1907, to Lon and Cora (Harrington)
Childers, in Newton, KS. On May 3, 1942, he was united in marriage to Nadine
Smith in St. Joseph, MO. Carl served his country in the United States Army
Air Corps as a Sergeant during WWII. After his honorable discharge in 1945,
they moved to Kansas City. In 1978, they moved to Gower, where they made
their home. Carl was Vice President of Speas Vinegar Manufacturing Company
in Kansas City for many years, until retiring in 1978. Carl was a member of
the First Baptist Church of Gower. He was preceded in death by his parents
and five brothers, Merl, Harry, Clyde, John and Ray. He is survived by his
wife, Nadine, of the home; one sister, Margaret Huff, Kansas City, MO; and
several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
