I don't know if any of you USA Valentine Hackett
descendants have traced your line back to Ireland, but there
were at least two Valentine Hacketts in a row there ca 1700.
I am descended from this line that is still in Ireland. By that
time they had converted to Church of Ireland [Episcopal] in
order to keep land, etc. Glad to share information.
Someone mentioned yours coming from England. In the
19th century, a common migration pattern was Ireland to
England and then over to the USA.
