My Grandfather was Valentine Hackett, and in the 1920 Census, he was married to Libbie Easton and was 21yrs old.;in the 1930 Census he was with his second wife,Dorothy,and their son, Richard. Libbie and Valentine had a son they named "Valentine", and he hated that name. So, I have found that his military records, marriage records, my brothers and my birth certs are in the name,"Jack Joseph Hackett". He had been married once before my Mother, and again after my Mothers marriage. Jack J. Hackett had a son by the first marriage, Gary Hackett, who I guess was born around 1938. Because I was born in 1943, and My Mother, remembers Jack saying he was 5yrs old at the time of my birth. Jack's death cert says he is "Irish", and his parents, parents were from PA and Illinois.
