My g grandmother was Mary Hackett Daney. She died in Elyria, OH in 1899 at the age of 38. My maternal grandfather was one of several children and was 8 yo when she died. He died in 1949 but never mentioned any of her family helping out when his mother passed away, making me suspect she was living away from her own family. Possibly there is a connection with the PA Hacketts mentioned in this thread. In the obituary you mentioned were any brothers or sisters listed?
