I am still seeking information for a friend on, or others researching, the Hacketts in Kentucky, specifically Madison and Estill Counties. Granville Hackett was born in 1818 in Kentucky. He married Sarah (Sally) Rawlins in 1846. Their children are: Sarah Ann, Benjamin F., Granville, Owen, Millard F., Allie and William H. I believe there was another child whose name I don't know, perhaps died young. Through research, I believe Granville to be a son of Jacob Hackett who married Sarah Carpenter in 1806. I have not been able to discover any conclusive proof. This Jacob is not the one born in New England, but in Virginia in 1787. Is anyone else working on any branch of this family?
