Patrick,
I would very much like to discuss with you, your Hackett family! I appreciate your responding to my query. You mentioned that you believe Bridgett from my query, may belong to your family group. Does or could your family group include the Ann Hackett in my query? Bridget and Ann Hackett were sisters; that much is pretty certain. Whether they were born/from County Longford, Ireland is not confirmed. That information came from an early Harwood Family genealogy.
Ann and Bridget were catholic. Ann and Bridget were also very common Irish names. But I believe I may have found them both on a ship manifest arriving in America about 1848 but again, their names were very common and I may have found a different Ann and Bridget Hacket (of that manifest).
Please feel free to contact me by personal email at
Perhaps we can start with your sharing the family group record for Patrick and Mary Hackett (their children and whom they married.) Do you have any references in your Hackett research to a Harwood connection (by marriage)?
I am really looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
V'Louise
