I am doing some genealogical research for a friend of mine.
His grandfather's name was EDWARD (PETER?) HACKETT and Edward was born in the U.S. (location unknown) sometime before 1927 and died in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland before Nov. 1977. One or both of Edward's parents were originally from Ireland (or Northern Ireland) and escaped here during the Potato Famine. Edward had only one or two siblings....Edward eventually moved to County Tyrone and married a lady by the name of Mary and had 3 sons: Daniel, Peter and Eamonn. Edward's father MAY have been Peter or Daniel Hackett....
Any idea where I should look? I have checked the Social Security Death Index and have found nothing.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
