I only have some conjecture but thought I'd share it. My gggrandfather Tilghman Hackett and his wife Catherine (Kitty) Walker had 11 children. They started their lives together in Delaware where Kitty was born. Tilghman was born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland -- but I don't have who his parents were or a date -- but circa 1790.

I only have solid information about 4 of the eleven children -- Andrew, Catherine, Thomas and Jonas (my ggrandfather.)

The conjecture is about the timing and places. The areas of Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey are not far apart. I had some early information that Tilghman may have been born in New Jersey, but I have a biographical entry that says he was born on the Eastern Shore of MD. Tilghman moved his family back to Maryland from Delaware sometime around 1835 and in 1836 they moved to Pulaski Co. IN. where he and Kitty lived until their deaths.

Andrew stayed in Indiana as did his sister Catherine (who married Tillman Davis.

Thomas and Jonas moved on to WI between 1865 and 1868. I don't know the names of any other siblings, but I suspect one was a Nancy as Kitty spent her final years in the household of a Nancy Wright -- I can't make that connection though.

Does any of this sound familiar?
