My Hackett family came from Jurby, Isle of Man, after 1844. Their first child, Elizabeth was born in IOM in 1844. We found a record of the marriage of Michael Hackett and Elizabeth Stephen dated 1843 in Jurby; also the baptism of their daughter Elizabeth Jane in 1844. Our great-grandmother,
Elizabeth Hackett, has always listed her birthdate as Apr. 6, 1849, in New York and her sister as being born in Wisconsin. They settled in Dodge County, Wisconsin, and Elizabeth married John Lansing in 1865. We did find that Michael Hackett was originally from Ireland. We know his mother-in-law, Jane Stephen, came to Wisconsin with them. Have not been able to establish any other Hackett connections. Hope you have some information.
