Searching for Ella HACKETT who married Kenas Farra DANIEL. Kenas Daniel was born c. 1834, d. 19 February 1872, Washington Co., KY.

The 1870 Census shows Kenas born in KY, but family tradition indicates Kenas and his brother Robert came down the Kentucky River on a raft from Pennsylvania and settled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. Tradition also says he married Ella HACKETT and had four or five children; he divorced Ella HACKETT and joined the Union army in KY during the Civil War. On 23 March 1864, he married Caroline Calhoun CARRIER (b. 16 August 1844 Washington Co., KY; d. c. 1885 KY) in Washington Co., KY.
